Welcome ;)

Sun Nov 1, 2009, 5:07 PM
Welcome to my online art museum :P I say that because I'm not actively updating with new pieces. Haven't even had Photoshop for awhile now.

Actually, I found my old art-supplies box that I've had since childhood the other day and found several premium pencils I'd bought back then and truly treasured and decided that I'd love to do some more pencil illustrations, but nothing serious.

Enjoy ;)

Been a long time, DA

Been over a year since my last journal entry. I've decided to take life more seriously and as such went back to school to finish my degree. I'll likely upload the best shot of the bunch from the infrequent times I find a great subject to shoot ;) That's a good general rule, anyway. My latest upload, 'San Pedro Sunset' is the best of about 30 shots taken from two locations.

I've also taken up learning some magic tricks lately ^_^ It's fun to practice, perfect, and show 'em off.

Inspiration Strikes

Thu May 31, 2007, 4:36 AM
Another happy-accident has born fruit. Actually, it's an old obsession I had with the beauty of mazes. I've been looking for a way to do it right, but have not yet found it, so instead I have done one by hand, so the results will not be perfect, but I'm sure that looking at imperfect results will spur me to find the proper method.

So, I just spent about two hours creating a so called 'beautiful-maze' and running it through my filter-process. Look to see some new psychedelic dev's again soon ;P

-----
*Edit: Hahaha, I love how my mind works! About 10 seconds after posting this journal I realized the way to do the mazes 'right' so that they are truly perfect!!! I can now make it the way I always envisioned. It's a bit laborious, but the results should be fantastic! Look for that also! Yay!

Finally, I can Update Again

Tue Aug 22, 2006, 10:10 AM
Gah, for some reason I couldn't update my journal for the last month, or two. Anyway, I am in fact back. Germany and Japan were great. Now I just need to visit Italy and my trip to last centuries 'axis of evil' will be complete, lol. Actually, I would freakin' love to go to Italy ;P

I did something drastic - I deleted all of my devwatches except for those few artists whom I enjoy the most.

The change has been great. Instead of getting 60+ new devs a day, I get 6, and I know that each is something I will WANT to see when I open it.

-------

On another note, let me tell you about something I discovered on the trip. While there I had a ton of time to think, walk, spend alone with myself, no real responsibilities, etc.

And by the end of the month, while in Japan, my creativity began to flow again. Now, I consider myself a very creative person, I sometimes constantly have ideas, which I ALWAYS write down to make way for new ones. But this comes more at some times than others. But, I had a palpatable feeling that I had unblocked the way for my mind to imagine things again, by having the time to do anything again, like when I was young.

And recently I came across a book called 'The Strangest Secret' which is about the same topic, and claims that creativity is not something that we have to learn a technique to do, but a natural property of the mind which we can unleash by removing the barriers to its activity.

Of course, this is an art site, full of people who have hyperactive and well-developed senses of creativity, heh. So, take it as you will. I'll certainly always remember that if my mental plate is too full, the result can be a loss of my own creative fruitfulness. That discovery alone was worth the trip.

I'll see if I can get some pictures up here... Got some nice ones...

Also, harddrive wipe coming soon! Wish me luck.

Where I Be !!!

Wed Jun 7, 2006, 11:43 PM
Just in case you're wondering why it seems like I've dropped off the face of the earth, it's because I am flying to Germany on the 12th!!! First to Canada, eh, than to London, for tea-time, then to Cologne so I'll smell good, then to Trier where my little sister is getting married for real  Why Germany you say - well, she's marrying a German dude. Which is cool, we're all just happy she didn't meet a frenchie ;P

Then, on my way back I'm flying to Japan to spend a week and a half on the yellow-continent, eating sushi, drinking sake, and whatever other stereotypical things you can think of =D And I don't get back until July 10th! Soooo, I know my peeps be missin' me, yo, but I'll be back in the hizzo in no time - or something ;P So, this is your chance to slide on by my page and leave mean messages that I can't respond to, lol - I dare ya :lmao:
